Begüm Gücük began her bachelor education in Visual Communication and continued her academic studies in graphic design and advertising. After receiving her Ph.D in the field of Poster Art and design she shifted her expertise and interest towards the conceptual narrative in Art, using a combination of methods and variety of techniques from rapidography, acrylic painting to silk screening in each of her paintings.

Other fields of experience include working as a an Art Director and Creative Director for several national and international advertising agencies. She currently is situated in Istanbul and works as a senior lecturer, Asst. Professor at Dogus University Art and Design faculty, Department of Graphics.
